BESTeam Weekly Feature: Borettoart

BESTeam Weekly Feature:

Borettoart

http://www.etsy.com/shop/Borettoart

This amazing Etsy shop, owned by Leslie Boretto, is loaded with wonderful original artwork ranging from acrylic paintings to prints!   If you love seascapes, like I do, you'll be thrilled to browse Leslie's shop and see her life-like seascape paintings.

Leslie was kind enough to be interviewed for this feature, and here's what she had to say:

Q. What originally inspired you to begin selling online in your Etsy shop?
A.  A friend told me about it, at the begginging I stared the shop as a hobby and then I really became addicted to Etsy. I really enjoy the friendly atmosphere and
I think is a great opportunity to show my artworks all over the world!

Q. Do you have any items that seem to be "customer favorites"?
A.  Customers seem to like mostly my seascape paintings.
This one in particulary got a lot of views as soon as uploaded for example:

Q. What is YOUR favorite item in your store right now?
A. My favourite painting is this one:

because it is a bif different from my usual paintings and has a personal story behind it.

Below are some beautiful items from Leslie's store.

BESTeam Feature: Yankee Burrow Creations

BESTeam Weekly Feature:

Yankee Burrow Creations

http://www.etsy.com/shop/YankeeBurrowCreation

This amazing Etsy shop is run by the mother and daughter team of Debbi and Amanda.  This charming little store features lot of hand made items that are obviously crafted with a lot of love and care.  Here's a little bit of info on their shop and why they do what they do:

Q. What originally inspired you to begin selling online in your Etsy shop?
A. We started selling online as a way to stay connected when Amanda moved with her family to Kansas a few years ago. Then she moved back home, yea!!!! We decided recently to rebrand and update our online presence and treat this as a "real" job...so we made our blog, our website, and expanded our items to 3 different selling venues. So now Etsy carries our yarn/fashion items, Handmadeartist.com sells our home decor items, and I just started our shop on zibbet for our jewelry pieces. All three shops are (or will be when I add Zibbet) can be found in the tabs of our blog.

Q. Do you have any items that seem to be "customer favorites"?
A. Amanda's stuffed animals and pin cushions did not last long at all. But like any artists with ADD, we tend to not remake, or relist, the same items, so it's hard to find a customer favorite.

Q. What is YOUR favorite item in your store right now?
A. I would have to say that right now, our favorite item is the wedding shadow box. It is a great memory from Amanda's wedding on the beach!

Below are some beautiful items from their store.

BESTeam weekly feature: From Shirlee

From Shirlee on Etsy

http://www.etsy.com/shop/FromShirlee?ref=seller_info

Description: What a wonderful store to get as my first BESTeam feature!  The very first thing I noticed was the incredibly touching description explaining how this wonderful woman, Shirlee, handed down her art and talent to her daughter and granddaughters.  I knew after reading this that I was in a truly wonderful, inspirational, and traditional store and I could wait to see more!

The first thing that caught my eye was this wonderful Christmas countdown Magnet Board.  As a child in Germany, my family had a similar calendar that we used every year.  One thing I love about this item is it's not the traditional "red and green".  Instead, they use beautiful greens, mauves and neutral tones along with fantastic crafty patterns.  Honestly... I need one of these!

Next, I found this wonderful and charming Amigurumi Turtle Family.  This wonderful turtle mother carries her three tiny turtle babies.  As a mother I remember when my little boy would climb all over me, and this remind me of those precious memories :O)

Here is a wonderful piece of framed embroidery which is called "Bless You Friend". From the mouths of the artists;

"At times friends are the ones that make the world go round and we couldn't live without them. This framed primitive embroidery captures that emotion.

Heart to Heart, Friend to Friend, Bless you til we meet again."

How many of us have far away friends that we love?  This would be such a sweet and thoughtful gift to give to them.

I hope you enjoyed this feature and will take a moment to visit this wonderful store, inspired by the love of this truly amazing and talented family.
