BESTeam Weekly Feature: Borettoart

BESTeam Weekly Feature:

Borettoart

http://www.etsy.com/shop/Borettoart

This amazing Etsy shop, owned by Leslie Boretto, is loaded with wonderful original artwork ranging from acrylic paintings to prints!   If you love seascapes, like I do, you'll be thrilled to browse Leslie's shop and see her life-like seascape paintings.

Leslie was kind enough to be interviewed for this feature, and here's what she had to say:

Q. What originally inspired you to begin selling online in your Etsy shop?
A.  A friend told me about it, at the begginging I stared the shop as a hobby and then I really became addicted to Etsy. I really enjoy the friendly atmosphere and
I think is a great opportunity to show my artworks all over the world!

Q. Do you have any items that seem to be "customer favorites"?
A.  Customers seem to like mostly my seascape paintings.
This one in particulary got a lot of views as soon as uploaded for example:

Q. What is YOUR favorite item in your store right now?
A. My favourite painting is this one:

because it is a bif different from my usual paintings and has a personal story behind it.

Below are some beautiful items from Leslie's store.

BESTeam Feature: Yankee Burrow Creations

BESTeam Weekly Feature:

Yankee Burrow Creations

http://www.etsy.com/shop/YankeeBurrowCreation

This amazing Etsy shop is run by the mother and daughter team of Debbi and Amanda.  This charming little store features lot of hand made items that are obviously crafted with a lot of love and care.  Here's a little bit of info on their shop and why they do what they do:

Q. What originally inspired you to begin selling online in your Etsy shop?
A. We started selling online as a way to stay connected when Amanda moved with her family to Kansas a few years ago. Then she moved back home, yea!!!! We decided recently to rebrand and update our online presence and treat this as a "real" job...so we made our blog, our website, and expanded our items to 3 different selling venues. So now Etsy carries our yarn/fashion items, Handmadeartist.com sells our home decor items, and I just started our shop on zibbet for our jewelry pieces. All three shops are (or will be when I add Zibbet) can be found in the tabs of our blog.

Q. Do you have any items that seem to be "customer favorites"?
A. Amanda's stuffed animals and pin cushions did not last long at all. But like any artists with ADD, we tend to not remake, or relist, the same items, so it's hard to find a customer favorite.

Q. What is YOUR favorite item in your store right now?
A. I would have to say that right now, our favorite item is the wedding shadow box. It is a great memory from Amanda's wedding on the beach!

Below are some beautiful items from their store.

The glass in this piece was carefully cut, wrapped in copper foil and soldered. For hanging, two small rings are soldered to the back with a length of clear monofilament fishing line tied to them.

The sun shining through the glass or lack of sun will give the colors various appearances. Also, please be aware that colors may look slightly different on your computer monitor than in person.

Zombie Skeleton with Guitar

Artists Description:

Each skeleton is made by hand from steel (1:9 scale), and stands approximately 8" tall if welded upright. Depending on the pose the final sculpture may be taller or shorter than 8". I cut the parts individually to allow for different posing options as I weld them together. The photograph is of the first one I made in that pose. If it has sold, I will make another in the same pose, but it may turn our slightly different. They are not finished with any paint or clear coat and if left outside, will eventually rust. But they look cool rusted too! Let me know if you are interested in a custom pose. Price is usually the same unless additional things need to be cut for it.

Check the store for more Zombie Metalwork & more great zombie tees!
